I had the honor of watching Wolfgang Gartner (real name Joey Youngman) perform at Starscape Music Festival in Baltimore, MD last weekend. He had the Dance tent on FIRE!! Wolfgang is arguably another one of electronic music’s hottest rising stars at the moment. What many don’t know is that Wolfgang already has had a number of successful releases under his real name, Joey Youngman. Never one to remain stagnant with his development as an artist, Joey started a new project (with an accompanying new style) under the name Wolfgang Gartner. It appears that the sky is the limit for Joey and his Wolfgang Gartner project! Stay tuned to Wolf’s Facebook fan page for a number of new releases under the Wolfgang Gartner brand later this month!

Deadmau5 (pronounced “deadmouse”) is currently one of the hottest (if not THE hottest) acts in electronic/dance music. His production and sound design skills are top notch, his live performances are second to none, and he’s a genuinely down-to-earth kind of guy! Congratulations to April from Atlanta! She has won our $100 Visa Gift Card drawing! April was entered into the drawing as a result of buying a couple of Fourward t-shirts at the Shecky’s Girls Night Out event in Atlanta, GA.
Due to some unexpected minor surgery that currently prevents me from lugging boxes full of t-shirts around, I’ve had to change up the cross country trip a bit. I’m going to instead be on the road for about 2 weeks in the middle of the month. Current stops along the way include Washington, DC, Alexandria, VA, Columbia, SC, and Atlanta, GA.
If you know any females in the Atlanta area, feel free to tell them about this event I’m attending called Shecky’s Girls Night Out (more info here). Fourward shirts are now available at Shogun in the Quakerbridge Mall (Lawrence, NJ). I really love the vibe at the shop and the direction that John and Carlos are taking it, so I’m proud to have Fourward carried there. I’m also looking fourward (can’t help it) to doing some collaborations with the shop, in the not-too-distant future. They’ve only been open for about ten days, so expect some really cool additions to the store over the coming weeks….word is they’re going to have bikes, snowboards, even more shoes, and lots of other dope gear.
As I announced last week, Fourward is driving around the country this November (see route below). Before I explain how you get your free tees ($64 value), let me re-explain the general purpose of the trip in case you missed the original announcement.
We’re making stops at high schools across the country to let high school kids know about the Keep Moving Fourward Entrepreneurship Competition (KeepMovingFourward.com). We’re also going to have fashion show fundraisers at each school, where half of all profits will go to the host high school. So the general format of our visits will be a nighttime event at the host high school where we’ll have a brief talk about the competition itself, the fashion show with students from the host school, and then a sale of Fourward clothing afterward.
Here’s how you can get your free shirts: If you get me in touch with a contact at a high school that’s on/near our proposed route AND we end up making it a stop on our trip, you get two free tees of your choice. If you ARE this contact and get in touch with me directly, you will receive two free shirts yourself if your school is selected. Don’t worry ladies, womens shirts are coming soon, so you can get two womens shirts of your choice in the event that you help us out.
All you have to do is:
